HR & Payroll Coordinator

This individual is the first point of contact for visitors entering the building along with the first point of contact for Payroll and HR inquiries within the designated facility.  He/she will be responsible for providing superior service to AMSC employees, supporting the payroll, recruiting, and benefits functions within the department and providing general administrative support to the corporate HR team.  This individual is responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain HRIS system data (payroll changes, demographic changes, etc.)
  • Generate, review, and distribute bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or annual payroll reports
  • Create and update New Hire Orientation books
  • Review weekly timecards and resolve timecard exceptions.
  • Assist with audit requests.
  • Maintains global organizational charts.
  • Conduct orientation for all new hires and temporary employees
  • First point of contact for visitors entering the facility.
  • Maintain solid knowledge of all employee benefits and policies in order to respond to employee questions
  • Administer employee recognition programs
  • Maintain employee files and recruiting files
  • Maintain employee requisitions
  • Maintain EEO files for all filled positions
  • On-line job posting (internally, and recruitment web sites)
  • Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews, Conduct pre-screenings as required (to include background and drug screenings)
  • Travel arrangements and expense reports for candidates and HR team members.
  • Serve as back-up payroll administrator to include processing bi-weekly payroll for US employees using ADP Workforce Now. Process includes (but not limited to) calculating hours worked, maintaining data between Oracle and ADP, preparing weekly reports, and maintaining historical payroll data.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma, Bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • 3+ years corporate administrative experience with a focus in HR preferred.
  • Must be an accurate, detail-oriented multi-tasker that has the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint )
  • Previous HRIS experience (SAP, Oracle, ADP), Oracle experience preferred.
  • Previous payroll processing experience using ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred.
  • Able to handle and maintain confidential information
  • Excellent organizational skills
