348 Superconductors
Copper-stabilized second generation HTS wire
348 superconductors are American Superconductor's 3 ply, 4.8 mm wide second generation HTS wires designed for coils that can power large-scale motors, generators and synchronous condensers requiring high thermal strain tolerance
- This HTS wire is laminated on both sides with ultra-thin strips of copper for stabilization and strength in high thermal strain environments in both axial and transverse directions
- Solder fillets at the edges provide hermeticity, corrosion protection, enhanced electrical stability and enhanced strain tolerance in the transverse direction
- Robust product with excellent tensile strength and bend tolerance
