Handling and Soldering 344 Superconductors

This service note provides guidelines for handling and making electrical connections to 344 superconductors.  344 superconductors are comprised of an YBCO ceramic thick film applied to an oxide-buffered Ni-W alloy substrate and laminated on both sides with a metal strip.  Proper handling will limit the possibility of damage to the superconductor during use.

Soldering and Splicing of First Generation HTS Wire

Information regarding procedures for soldering HTS High Strength and Hermetic Wires are discussed in this Service Note.  The information includes procedures for soldering, cautions to take and materials that can be used.
