Quality Control Specialist

Summary – This position directly oversees daily activities within the quality assurance functions ensuring organizational compliance with ISO standards.
Job Responsibilities – Activities:
Functions:
- Comprehension and application of the ISO-9001 standard for quality management systems
- Ability to identify non-conforming outputs, diagnosis root cause, and identify the need for corrective action pertaining to the production of NEPSI products
- Identify, measure, and analyze key performance metrics for NEPSI’s quality systems process
- Aggregate quality performance data and identify trends to management
- Generate non-conformance reports needed
- Perform audits on internal processes such as purchasing, manufacturing, customer support, and training
- Perform audits on external processes, such as supplier performance and customer feedback
- Document the inspection and testing of equipment prior to shipment and ensure the testing instruments and meters are in calibration
- Manage and implement routine quality audits, accurately maintain the company records
- Assist Project Manager with prospective customer questions pertaining to NEPSI quality
- Assist Director Operations in the creation of processes, procedures, and inspection forms pertaining to quality
- Other tasks as required
Education – Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, 1-2 years prior experience in a related manufacturing industry
- Prior experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or specialized quality management coursework
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
Required Skills, Competencies, Authorities and Training Needs:
- Ability to read blueprints
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Experience with internal audits
- Knowledge of ISO standards
- Experience with document control systems
- Experience in regulated manufacturing or production environment
- Understanding of tolerances and measurement standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- High attention to detail
- Analytical thinking
- Problem solving ability
- Clear written and oral communication
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and management
- US Citizen
