Summary – Job Responsibilities – Activities:

AMSC is looking for a uniquely skilled electrical engineer to be the technical point person supporting power electronics product lines as well as supporting increased utility adoption of AMSC solutions.  This role requires that you deploy strong technical and communication skills across a broad range of utility and customer stakeholders.  Depending on the customer need, duties include working with utility protection and control engineers, integrating AMSC solutions with customer SCADA networks and customer control systems, helping to analyze power flow studies, and leading technical training webinars.

AMSC high performance distribution and transmission class voltage regulation solutions uniquely address growing power quality problems that utilities and renewable energy providers are facing.   These problems are caused by several drivers including: increased DER adoption (solar and vehicle fast-charging), increased power demands from utility C&I customers, and regional undergrounding of distribution feeders.  Helping to achieve the vision of “one on every circuit,” you will be a key team member helping AMSC to deliver a unique and high-quality utility customer experience.

Functions:

  • Work with customers to facilitate the adoption process for AMSC power electronics product lines especially within the utility technical community. You will consistently interface with standards engineers, distribution/transmission operations, and protection and control engineers
  • Work with customer engineers and specialists to enable them to independently apply AMSC solutions to their specific needs
  • Help customers resolve system integration issues: including control system configuration, DMS system integration, SCADA integration, site sensor integration, etc.
  • Be the technical SME for customer pilot projects; work with customers to demonstrate/quantify technical performance, write-up performance reports, and disseminate within the customer’s stakeholder community
  • Train customers AMSC product lines via webinars and on-site training programs; create and enhance training material for clarity and effectiveness
  • Assist customers with site commissioning and troubleshooting, either remotely or on-site as needed, to ensure an experience that is “easy to work with”
  • Travel to customers as needed; collaborate with AMSC sales colleagues to build relationships and create high-quality customer experiences

Functions:

  • Responsible for performing and managing the inspection of products at various stages of the production process in order to verify quality and reliability of products in accordance with required quality plans, drawings, specification, etc.
  • Responsible for completing and reviewing all applicable inspection documentation for completeness and accuracy while maintaining, protecting, and storing all files applicable to inspections, especially those traceable to batch history records (BHR) and/or device history records (DHR) reviewing for completeness and accuracy.
  • Must be able to read and interpret written instructions, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, or other control procedures.
  • Must be able to perform visual, dimensional, mechanical, precision mechanical, functional, or electrical inspection of parts, assemblies, or final product in all stages of the production process (i.e. incoming, in-process and final inspection) using standard measuring devices such as micrometers, scales, fixtures, calipers, dial indicators, comparators, fixed gauges, multi meters, component testers, various surface plate set-ups, plastometers, and thermogravimetric analyzer.

Summary – Job Responsibilities – Activities:

The Oracle Business Analyst – Supply Chain will support the business through analysis and design, trouble-shooting system issues, documenting business requirements and technical specifications, identifying technology solutions, performing system testing, and providing configuration and end-user support of supply chain management and order-to-cash applications.

Functions:

  • Ensure ITGC SoX controls are operating effectively by proactively eliminating potential deficiencies – apply technology and triggers to enhance compliance
  • Engage with primarily Supply Chain business stakeholders to gather/analyze requirements and map them to solutions that leverage the ERP application.
  • Develop end-to-end business process flow diagrams for all related business processes.
  • Work with the team to analyze, diagnose and resolve unpredictable and varied problems using diverse methods and tools.

Functions:

  • Perform failure analysis and root cause studies of premature component failures and formulate the actions necessary to match component reliability.
  • Perform on-site commissioning of D-VAR, PQ-SVC systems and inverter components and control electronics for domestic and international customers.
